The Celebrity Indian Restaurant was originally a French-styled venue back in the 1980’s and the conception of local councillor Mr Kenneth Hardyman.
The restaurant was a regular jaunt for renowned celebrities of the 80's such as Bob Monkhouse, Benny Hill, Alan Wicker, Les Dawson and Clive James to name but a few.
Most recently it was known as the Celebrity Balti when the famous Balti cuisine of Ladypool Road was introduced to Broad Street.
Since then a modernisation programme was implemented to add a fresh and vibrant to the surroundings, a contemporary food and drink was introduced, which together has generated a unique environment and atmosphere for all our discerning diners including modern day celebrities such as footballers, pop stars, actors and even a Nobel Peace Prize Winner.
The Celebrity Indian Restaurant will endeavour to maintain the beautiful ambience and character associated within the building, and aim to serve delicious Indian food, with great international wines and beers, and to continue the legacy of one of Birmingham's magnificent and iconic establishments.
